Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Habits - 50%
• Develop, nurture, and sustain authentic, mission-driven partnerships with key community stakeholders including school districts, business and industry partners, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
• Comply with SoLAcc’s External Relations and Communications Plan and processes for partnership development.
• Serve as a connector between external partners with prospective ideas and the appropriate SoLAcc office or department for collaboration or project advancement.
• Represent SoLAcc at community events, career fairs, and organizational meetings to strengthen brand visibility and trust within the community.
• Function as a regional recruiter for assigned territories, aligning recruitment activities with the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Plan.
• Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies using data analytics to engage prospective students and increase enrollment conversion rates.
• Support community-based recruitment events that align with institutional priorities and local workforce needs.
• Guides Campus Advisory Councils and partner networks toward actionable outcomes.
• Serve as a member of the Campus Advisory Council and lead coordination efforts for meetings, planning, and reporting.
• Facilitate ongoing engagement between council members and the college to ensure alignment with SoLAcc’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
• Coordinate communication, data collection, and goal tracking related to campus-community initiatives.

• Provide timely updates and summaries to leadership regarding partnership outcomes, challenges, and opportunities.
• Utilize established tracking mechanisms to monitor engagement activities, recruitment performance, and partnership outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of outreach metrics, partnership agreements, and community impact reports.
• Provide regular reports to leadership on progress toward SEM and outreach goals.
• Use data to inform continuous improvement strategies and demonstrate return on investment for outreach and partnership initiatives.
Institutional Support - 10%
• Collaborate with campus departments, enrollment services, and student success teams to ensure community engagement efforts directly support recruitment and retention goals.
• Partner with faculty, staff, and workforce development teams to create outreach and engagement programs that connect academic programs to community and industry needs.
• Promote institutional visibility and social responsibility through outreach, civic engagement, and service initiatives that strengthen SoLAcc’s presence in local communities.
• Develop and coordinate community-based engagement projects, volunteer initiatives, and workforce-readiness partnerships that enhance the student experience and support SoLAcc’s mission.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with local agencies, school districts, and organizations to expand community access to college resources and programs.
• Collaborate with institutional leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) Plan and External Relations and Communications Plan.
• Ensure that all engagement activities align with SoLAcc’s mission, goals, and institutional objectives while supporting long-term community and enrollment outcomes.
Team Relations - 10%
• Collaborate with the Director of Campus Operations, Enrollment and Student Success Team, and External Relations staff to coordinate outreach, recruitment, and partnership activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies to promote SoLAcc programs, partnerships, and engagement opportunities within assigned communities.
• Work closely with internal departments (academic affairs, workforce development, and student affairs) to ensure outreach activities align with institutional priorities and student pathways.
• Participate in professional development, community meetings, and regional events to maintain knowledge of best practices in outreach, recruitment, and partnership management.
• Provide guidance and support to campus teams and advisory councils in building sustainable community relationships and engagement strategies.
• Represent SoLAcc at community, business, and educational functions as an institutional ambassador focused on visibility, access, and partnership growth.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree required with 3 years of relative experience in community engagement, recruitment, partnership management, higher education, external affairs.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
Valid, unencumbered driver's license
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with seven years of relative experience in education, communications, business, community engagement, partnership management.
