Duties and Responsibilities: 


• Assisting the Director with development and implementation of STEM programs related to sciences and mathematics. Examples include but are not limited to:
o Summer Camp Development
o After-School Programming
o Teacher Professional Development
o Community/Citizen Science Events

• Identify opportunities to support programming of local, regional, and state level STEM-based competitions for K-12, College, and University students.

• Attend STEM-related meetings and professional development opportunities with the STEM Center Director as requested

• Assist with the development of STEM assets and gaps assessments, and work with regional partners to generate a database of STEM events, programs, and opportunities in LASTEM Region 3 and across the state

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education: Student enrolled full time in College or University courses, majoring in a STEM, Education, or Business program of study.

Preferred Experience: Background or experiences working with K-12 students, activity development, event planning, data entry and evaluation.
