Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Maintain performance standards and pursue goals, objectives, and activities that promote the mission, vision and value statement of the College.

• Assist in completing internal and external data requests, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of requested data.

• Assist in conducting internal data audits to ensure data accuracy. This may include verifying student data through phone calls or other methods as needed.

• Assist with compiling and preparing data for the annual Fletcher Facts report and support the preparation of the Program Health Index (PHI) reports, which are due annually, including gathering, verifying, and compiling necessary data.

• Maintain and update the institution’s data warehouse by saving relevant Cognos reports at key times throughout the semester, including at the End of Term (EOT), the 14th day, and other critical reporting points.

• Assist with the uploading of Program Data Profile (PDP) information, ensuring uploads are completed on schedule (3-4 times per year).

• Assist with data collection, updates, and reporting related to priority groups as part of ongoing institutional data needs.

• Assist in the development, distribution, and analysis of institutional surveys, including student, faculty, and alumni surveys.

• Collect and organize feedback from advisory boards, ensuring that insights are documented and incorporated into institutional planning and reporting processes and provide reports or summaries based on survey results and advisory board feedback to inform decision-making and improvements.

• Provide general support for institutional research and records functions, including assisting with special projects or reports as needed.

• Support Records and Registration with year-round registration maintenance and clean up.

• Foster, demonstrate, and actively participate in a culture of mutual respect for students, guests, and co-workers from all backgrounds, perspectives and abilities. Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors and utilize appropriate channels of communication within the college community concerning procedures and/or inquiries.

• Attend and participate in scheduled activities, which include graduation, open house/recruiting events as assigned, convocation, and required meetings. Share ideas and information, and work toward common department and College goals.

• Serve on college committees as a member or as chair. Serve on search committees.

• Participate in professional development activities that enhance effectiveness (convocation, LCTCS conference, etc.).

• Represent the college in a manner that promotes a professional and positive image.

• Adhere to College and LCTCS policies.

• Embrace college culture.

• Complete all required assignments prior to deadlines (Fletcher/LCTCS trainings, etc.).

• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a similar field

 

Required Experience: 1-2 years of experience in institutional research, data management, or a related field

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.

 

Preferred Experience: Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, Excel, SQL, or similar) is highly desirable. Knowledge of institutional reporting and higher education data systems. Experience with survey design and analysis. Familiarity with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
