Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Habits: 40%
➢ Review programs, admissions and enrollment requirements, testing policies, scheduling, and student services with prospective students as first point of contact (email, phone and in person).
➢ Track and review all student applications and enrollment documents.
➢ Assist students via email and courtesy calls throughout the enrollment and registration process.
➢ Obtain and request all required and supporting documents for admissions.
➢ Organize and ensure the maintenance of all student data/records in accordance with school policies, and third-party standards to meet IBC expectations.
➢ Collect and track information for all third-party exams related to the department.
➢ Answer and route incoming telephone calls related to Broadband courses.
➢ Document interactions with students, support provided, etc. in Salesforce.
➢ Perform other duties as assigned.
Institutional Support: 40%
➢ Be available to students via email, phone, and/or in-person appointments.
➢ Meet, greet, announce and/or assist all vendors and visitors.
➢ Give tours as needed.
➢ Enter data into Salesforce and spreadsheets as needed.
➢ Follow up calls to postgraduates at the required intervals.
➢ Track and manage incoming and existing inventory.
➢ Maintain and audit student folders.
➢ Assist with coordinating events such as department meetings and student graduations.
➢ Gather, copy, and file (electronically & hard-copy) documents as needed.
➢ General support such as data entry for assigned projects.
Behavioral Standards: 10%
➢ Ability to communicate verbally, and in written form, in a professional manner with colleagues, students, potential students, parents of potential students, parents with FERPA on file, and alumni.
➢ Adheres to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records.
➢ Adheres to all applicable Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) and SoLAcc policies.
Team Relations: 10%
➢ Work collaboratively with other staff and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and positive outcomes for students.
➢ Attend departmental meetings as necessary.
➢ Participates in departmental activities where appropriate.
➢ Fulfilling professional assignments in accordance with South Louisiana Community College calendar and contractual obligations.
➢ Predictable and reliable attendance is required in order to provide consistency and continuity of the business services provided to the college.
Required Experience:
Two (2) years of experience in an office setting handling administrative duties.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
Valid, unencumbered driver’s license
Preferred Education:
Associate’s degree
