Salary: Start of $28,000 with actual offer based on experience and education
Duties and Responsibilities: These are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation(s). Other reasonable duties may be assigned.
• Create, plan, organize, and execute student events, programs, and activities that are educational, social, cultural, and interesting to the college’s diverse group of students. (i.e., Welcome Week, Monthly cultural events, etc.)
• Coordinate the campus food pantry by monitoring and preparing food bag requests, manage inventory/supplies, and upkeep pantry storage area, and grocery shopping.
• Maintain an updated student activity calendar and social media presence to include schedules of student workshops, events, and programs.
• Proficiency in providing reports, organizing calendar events, and staying within a budget for events.
• Provide oversight to student clubs, coordinate the development and facilitation of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities that promote personal growth and student engagement.
• Ensure clubs/organizations are following college policies and procedures.
• Responsible for keeping the Student Organization Handbook updated.
• Serve as assistant SGA advisor, overseeing meetings and reporting any issues that need to be addressed to the Director of Student Services in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and promote intramural sports year around. Have knowledge to oversee the planning and organizing of intramural programs.
• Supervise and monitor intramural activities.
• Maintain community contacts and resources and act as a liaison when appropriate.
• Provide opportunities and assist in enhancing the college experience for student life participation that will result in social, personal, and intellectual growth outside of the classroom.
• Participate and assist with the organization of new student orientation.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond in a timely manner to any requests from students, faculty, staff, or other colleagues.
• Work with instructional site/campuses student affairs personnel to provide opportunities for student life.
• Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned in support of the college’s mission, values and goals.
• Maintain professional appearance and appropriate work ethic (attendance, cooperation, etc.)
• Other duties as deemed necessary.
Required Education: Associates degree
Required Experience: One year experience in event planning and/or working with students.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Experience: One year experience in event planning and/or working with students preferably in student life, student engagement, and/or higher education.
