Instructor - Sterile Processing (9 Month) SOWELA – Jennings
The Sterile Processing Faculty is responsible for teaching sterile processing courses at the postsecondary level (but at less than the baccalaureate) to students who have graduated high school or earned a GED. Responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, leading, and moderating classroom discussions, facilitating online activities and communication, and administering and grading examinations and assignments. Demonstrates and teaches patient care techniques in the classroom, simulation laboratory, and clinical sites to sterile processing students and is an expert in sterile processing practices with knowledge of professional scope and standards of practice. Able to rely on evidence-based practice guidelines to plan and accomplish teaching goals. May lead and direct the work of others. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Executive Director of Institutional Advancement SOWELA – Lake Charles
The Executive Director of Institutional Advancement serves on the Chancellor’s leadership team and collaborates with others in the community to increase and maintain visibility and fundraising for SOWELA and the SOWELA Foundation. The scope of work entails leading campaigns, programs, projects, events, and activities in support of the college, the Chancellor, the Foundation, and the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The Executive Director’s attention to fundraising efforts is critical because one of the major goals of this role is to raise funds to support the Foundation’s programs and provide scholarships and grants. The Executive Director develops and administers the college’s institutional initiatives including public relations, marketing, promotions, and fundraising, both internally by working with students, faculty, staff, and externally by networking with alumni, community members, and business and industry representatives.

Executive Director for Maritime Center of Excellence Fletcher – Houma
