Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Attend and provide meaningful instruction for all class sessions, lab, and clinical sessions during the semester. Be punctual in class attendance and provide instruction for the complete class period. Make appropriate arrangements for necessary absences according to College policies.

• Evaluate present clinical facilities and meet with agency personnel to review objectives of clinical experience.

• Maintain accurate attendance, progress and evaluation records in an acceptable grade book format and file these grade books (photocopies/print-outs) with Registrar at the end of each semester.

• Supervise students in the clinical area and assist students to develop critical thinking skills; may involve out of town travel for which mileage will be reimbursed per Louisiana Travel policy guidelines.

• Adhere to timelines established by the college, particularly with respect to the submission of grade rosters, reporting non-attendance of students, referring students for counseling, withdrawing students from classes for non-participation, and responding to records inquiries and other communications about students in a timely manner.

• Provide instruction in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, College harassment policies, and/or other legal requirements.

• Be available to students via phone or email to assist with any assignment questions/needs in a timely manner according to division procedures.

• Complete all trainings required by LCTCS and/or Fletcher in a timely manner prior to due dates.

 

Required Education: Associate Degree in discipline or Associate degree with professional experience and required licensure/certification or 10 years of documentable experience at or above the highest level of skill being taught (certification required).

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidates must have good instructional techniques, computer knowledge, student-centered attitude, and must be well organized.
