Duties and Responsibilities: 

Leadership
• Oversee the recruitment of students for the dual enrollment program within the eight parishes of SLCC’s service area (Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Mary, St. Martin, and Vermilion Parishes).
• Supports initiatives to help retain dual enrollment students to complete a program or degree after high school.
• Provide direction and strategy for the expansion and innovation of DE pathways.
• Responsible for maintaining the department budget including purchasing of college swag, office supplies, and other materials to support DE.
• Supervises Dual Enrollment Coordinator, and other related personnel and programs.
• Serve as SLCC’s representative for all things Dual Enrollment.
• Ensure day-to-day operational efficiency.
• Communicate effectively to stakeholders, senior management, and team members.
• Monitor performance metrics.

Compliance
• Works closely with Office of Enrollment Management to detect and monitor enrollment trends in dual enrollment.
• Coordinates the monitoring of dually-enrolled students and investigates and resolves issues for students.
• Stay abreast of Perkins updates, 2.0 pathways, DE funding sources including but not limited to SCA portal, tops tech, and workforce commission.
• Coordinate the updating of the SCA and BOR portals.
• Stays current with dual enrollment related policies and regulations and communicates these standards to SLCC offices and personnel.

External Relations
• Responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships between high schools across all eight parishes from the student/parent level to the CTE coordinators and Academic Directors.
• Maintains regular contact with area high school guidance counselors and other appropriate school district and LA DOE personnel via electronic communication and site visits.
• Liaisons with relevant community, business, and industry partners.
• Liaisons with relevant BESE and LA DOE personnel regarding academic transfer, technical, TOPS Tech Early Start, and Jump Start programming.
• In conjunction with the AVC of Academic Affairs and other designees., maintain relationships with the school boards and superintendents.
• Manages the MOU processes with schools and districts.
• Work with state level partners to ensure SLCC compliance on all aspects of dual enrollment.
• Responsible for visiting once a year with each parish point of contact.
• Ensure DE faculty are properly credentialed, observed, and provided resources to teach DE classes to the rigor of a college class.
• Ensure DE faculty receive oversight from the assigned department chair.
• Provide continual and consistent outreach to all eight parishes.

Event Planning
• Plan, coordinate, and execute outreach activities in the high schools, such as campus orientation days, parent-focused information sessions, presentations about the College's services and programs, classroom visits, and regularly scheduled career and parent night activities.
• Work in collaboration with the Admissions Department to plan and execute the yearly counselor’s workshop.

Collaboration
• Coordinate success-navigator visits in conjunction with Admissions and Campus Directors.
• Coordinate with Deans to develop curriculum in support of dual enrollment focusing on short-term pathways, expansion of CTA academies, IBC pathways, and development of new initiatives in support of DE.
• Work with the Director of Adult Education to ensure all secondary pathways are articulated to school districts.
• Coordinates with financial aid, orientation, admissions, testing and other campus services to facilitate the smooth functioning of the dual enrollment program.
• Collaborates with Academic Affairs, Student Services, and Institutional Effectiveness constituents in the evaluation, monitoring, and reporting of DE program data.

Processes/Procedures
• Ensure college policies and procedures regarding admissions, registration, billing, and completion are followed.
• Standardize processes for DE including but not limited to admissions, enrollment, registration, billing, graduation and all aspects supporting those areas.
• Establish and maintain a manual of standardize processes for dual enrollment registration, billing, and admissions.
• Oversee the input and upkeep of DE attributes in coordination with Student Accounts and Admissions.
• Oversee the DE software (Canusia) and coordinate with Admissions and Registrar to ensure DE students are enrolled by the semester deadline.
• Ensure SLCC MOUs are followed by SLCC and the accompanying school district.
• Responsible for the branding and upkeep of dual enrollment materials as well as timely submission of website updates.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience: Five years experience within a secondary or post-secondary educational environment.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical interference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and LMS

Required Licenses or Certifications: Criminal Background Clearance. Valid Driver’s License.
