Position Title (Classification Title):  OPS Laboratory Technician, Other Professional (Support/Service)
Working Title:  Assistant/Associate in CEDB
Job Summary: Conduct research on the discovery of metabolic diversity for biodegradation of organic compounds. Other duties include ordering supplies and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure proper operation.

Position Qualifications: BS/MS with 3 years experience or MS with thesis. Background and interest in microbiology, biochemistry molecular biology, or microbial ecology. Should be familiar with molecular techniques, instrumental analysis, and culturing microorganisms. Must have the ability to conduct and direct research tasks, prepare work plans, make technical presentations, and contribute to publications.

  • 50%% - Conduct research - (Essential)
  • 10%% - Equipment maintenance - (Essential)
  • 10%% - Ordering supplies - (Essential)
  • 30%% - Make technical presentations and contribute to publications. - (Essential)
Physical Demands:
