Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Habits: 30%
• Executes campus-specific student life programming initiatives, including leadership development programming and initiatives that foster holistic development. This includes the ULEAD Conference, Mobile Classroom Experience, and co-curricular endeavors.
• Coordinates the development and execution of all campus engagement and tradition-related programming across all SoLAcc campuses, including events developed by the Office of Student Services and institutional signature events.
• Coordinates and supports college-wide events such as SoLAcc Graduation ceremonies, Study Abroad programs, service-learning projects, and community service initiatives.
• Plans, organizes, and implements campus programs and activities, including arranging for facilities, food service, security, equipment, risk management, event setup/cleanup, parking, technical requirements, and staffing.
• Provides on-site event support across campuses to ensure consistent delivery, high-quality experiences, and strong student participation.
Behavioral Standards: 30%
• Works with vendors to ensure all processes are followed related to purchase agreements, contracts, or the delivery of goods and services.
• Administers and analyzes student engagement assessments to guide programming decisions and measure impact.
• Supports marketing and outreach efforts for campus engagement initiatives and events.
• Maintains predictable and reliable attendance to ensure consistent services for students.
• Assists with planning and implementing college-wide signature events, including cultural celebrations, leadership conferences, and community-based programs.
• Coordinates with academic and administrative units to integrate service learning, civic engagement, and global education opportunities into the student experience.
Institutional Support: 20%
• Supports college retention and completion initiatives through engagement-focused outreach and involvement campaigns.
• Attends all mandatory meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Works with campus-based offices and external partners to support engagement initiatives, civic engagement, and volunteerism.
• Develops and oversees community service projects, civic engagement initiatives, and volunteer opportunities for students.
• Establishes partnerships with local organizations to expand community engagement efforts.
• Collaborates with institutional leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance student engagement and foster a vibrant campus community.
• Ensures that engagement initiatives align with the institution's mission, goals, and objectives.
• Attends special events during regular hours, evenings, and weekends—including student organization activities, club athletic events, traditions, and recreational programming—to support event setup, execution, and teardown.
Team Relations: 20%
• Collaborates with Regional Directors of Campus Operations to develop and implement unique engagement opportunities tailored to each campus’s culture, programs, and student needs.
• Partners with Academic Affairs to promote and manage Study Abroad opportunities and other experiential learning initiatives.
• Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with SoLAcc departments, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external partners to strengthen campus engagement.
• Supports partnerships with local, regional, and national organizations to expand student leadership and experiential learning opportunities.
• Works with Enrollment Services, campus directors, and Student Services teams to bring culturally relevant and mission-aligned experiences to students across all campuses.
• Contributes to the development and review of policies related to student engagement and involvement, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
• Provides training and professional development for staff and student leaders on best practices in student engagement, event planning, and leadership development.
• Represents the office and institution at internal and external events, meetings, and professional conferences related to student engagement and student experience.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in a related field such as event planning, education, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree and two (2) years of experience in a related field.
