| This is a temporary, full-time position to primarily conduct college-level baking and pastry courses on campus and online and be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures and demonstrations, moderating classroom discussions, leading practical application labs, and administering and grading assignments, labs, and examinations. This position also requires the ability and expertise to teach hot foods classes/labs and all other culinary arts-related courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate and teach subject matter in the classroom and appropriate labs to students, while maintaining accurate grade and attendance records in Canvas. This position will post on-campus hours to facilitate interaction with students, other faculty, staff, administrators, and the public, and be available to students via email, phone, and/or in-person conference. The successful candidate will be experienced in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures, and receive training to stay current in technological, culinary, and pedagogical advances that promote student learning. This individual must be a committed, motivated self-starter who can initiate and complete work with little supervision and/or as a part of a team on larger projects. |
