Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct on-campus, online, and/or hybrid classes, planning and delivering lectures and activities that promote student engagement and learning
• Utilize the approved curriculum; develop clearly stated course objectives and learning outcomes; ensure the objectives and content of the courses taught are current
• Organize instruction in classrooms and online as evidenced by course outlines, lesson plans, competency tests, and instructional materials such as textbooks, e-books, handouts, and audiovisuals
• Assess student learning, demonstrate, and teach subject matter with confidence, and maintain accurate grade and attendance records
• Maintain student progress data, ensuring it is a part of the student’s permanent record, and adhering to all laws pertaining to disclosure of student records
• Earn additional industry-based certifications applicable to the discipline and encourage students to earn industry-based certifications
• Maintain office hours on campus to facilitate interaction with students, other faculty, staff administrators and the public; be available to students via email, phone, web conferencing, and/or in person conferences; may mentor other staff or students
• Participate in local business and industry activities
• Participate in an advisory committee to ensure that desirable, relevant, and current practices of industry are being taught
• Assist with student completion, placement, and retention rates ensuring that they meet accrediting agencies standards
• Providing training in the competencies essential to success in the occupation including attitudes, job knowledge, and skills
• Provide advisement services to assigned advisees
• Oversee IT student internships, if necessary
• Evaluate follow-up data from completers and employers to obtain information concerning program effectiveness and relevance to improve the quality of the program where needed
• Attend faculty and departmental meetings and prepares reports as necessary
• Attend all commencement ceremonies
• Attend convocation
• Participate in campus committees
• Other duties as required or assigned
Required Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or IT-related field
Must meet SACSCOC credentialing requirements

Required Licenses or Certifications:
Preferred Education: Industry-based certifications in the discipline
Preferred Experience: Experience with Canvas learning management system
Work experience in the discipline
Face-to-face and/or online teaching experience in the discipline
Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
