Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides intrusive academic and tutorial support in Math and English courses to participants through one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions;
Provides mentoring and motivational support to participants;
Assists participants with developing the necessary study skills for academic success;
Assists team members with developing and presenting student success workshops to include mid-term and final exam preparation;
Provides continuous feedback on participant academic and social progress;
Serve as a positive role model for CME participants;
Documents participant contacts and progress notes using Accutrack or other program management system and maintains confidentiality;
Assists participants with scheduling appointments using Accutrack or other management tool;
Attends tutor training sessions and regularly scheduled staff meetings;
Submits bi-weekly and monthly reports to the CME program manager;
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned to achieve project goals and objectives.
Required Education:
Associate’s degree in Math, English, Engineering, Statistics, or related field OR four (4) years of directly related work experience.
Required Experience:
Some experience in tutoring under-prepared students and students at-risk for academic failure.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Math, English, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
