Job Summary: The Assistant Director of Employer Partnership is responsible for creating, implementing, and growing the College’s partnerships with employers for 1) increasing work-based learning opportunities for HACC students, and 2) increasing job placements of HACC students and alumni. With the priority of increasing connections and improving touchpoints between HACC faculty/students/alumni and employers in HACC’s key service areas (Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York, and Adams counties). 

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree is required and three years of experience related to career services, human resources, or a similar field is required. Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements: Valid driver's license

Hiring Range: $61,173 - $77,996

1. Ensure the creation and successful implementation of policies, procedures, and activities related to building relationships with employers consistent with HACC's overall mission and strategic plan. - (Essential)

2. Identify and resolve problems; ensure consistent application of rules and regulations; handle complex and high-level complaints or issues; give special attention to provide equal opportunities for all students and to develop non-discriminatory processes for recruitment. - (Essential)

3. Serves as an employment liaison between employers and faculty, staff, and students. - (Essential)

4. Collaborates with employers to create connections and pipelines to employment and work-based learning opportunities. - (Essential)

5. Connects virtually or via technology to regional employers; With a priority focus on employers in Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York and Adams counties. - (Essential)

6. Participates in meetings that promote the goal of connecting students and employers, which may include business, industry and trade associations, as well as local societies of human resources management (SHRM), PA CareerLink offices, and alumni networks - (Essential)

7. Increase Job Placement by developing and implementing strategic workplans with specific objectives and measurable outcomes related to job placement in careers aligned with existing and/or developing HACC academic programs. - (Essential)

8. Refer and support employers to post jobs on the college job search platform (College Central Network). - (Essential)

9. Work with college faculty and staff to identify upcoming program graduates and align local job openings. - (Essential)

10. Responsible for the creation of both college-wide and location-specific events that promote student connection to employment opportunities, such as targeted career & internship fairs, networking opportunities, on-campus interviews, and company table visits; actively markets external career fairs and employment opportunities to students, using multiple mediums to target different segments of the population and specific programs as appropriate. - (Essential)

11. Increase Work-based Learning Opportunities by developing and implementing strategic workplans with specific objectives and measurable outcomes related to increasing work-based learning experiences for HACC students. - (Essential)

12. Providing leadership in the implementation of a viable internship program. - (Essential)

13. Collaborate with HACC faculty to identify work-based learning opportunities for their courses. - (Essential)

14. Recruit employers for work-based learning activities, such as tours, classroom presentations, and classroom activities; connect these resources to faculty. - (Essential)

15. Supervise Coordinator for Internships/Experiential Learning. - (Essential)

16. Provide leadership and strategic direction to Student Employment Services. - (Essential)

17. Maintain program policies, procedures, and program records that are compliant with federal student aid program regulations. - (Essential)

18. Manage and maintain relationships with on-campus and off-campus supervisors by providing training, support with postings and hiring, and general assistance with any inquiries about the Student Employment Program. - (Essential)

19. Supervise Coordinators for Student Employment and Job Location and Development - (Essential)

20. Develops expertise in the content area; remains current on new and innovative practices in the field; develops and maintains a network with colleagues through professional organizations and other types of professional alliances; researches and identifies best practices that promote successful relationships with employers and connect students and alumni to careers. - (Standard)

21. Responsible for creating systems of data collection, assessment tools and practices, and analysis reports to gather feedback and evaluate the efficacy of department efforts. - (Essential)

22. Hires, trains, develops, supervises, and evaluates staff consistent with organizational and strategic goals - (Essential)

23. Develops a budget and prudently manages finances throughout the fiscal year, adhering to state, federal, and HACC fiscal policies and procedures; monitors revenues and expenditures - (Standard)

24. Regularly travels to all HACC locations and other off-site locations to conduct group and individual meetings with faculty and staff; consistently solicits and receives feedback from stakeholders to maximize the effectiveness of all department activities - (Standard)
