Job Summary: The Director of Compensation and HRIS is a strategic and operational leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's compensation programs and overseeing the development and optimization of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Reporting to the Executive Director, Talent Management, this role ensures alignment with organizational goals, fosters a culture of equity and transparency, and enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes through technology and data management. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in compensation, HRIS management, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Specific Task List:

  • Compensation Strategy and Management: (Essential)
    • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation strategies, policies, and programs aligned with organizational objectives and market trends.
    • Conduct competitive market analyses, evaluate salary structures, and recommend adjustments to attract and retain top talent.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding compensation practices.
    • Design and manage incentive plans, merit pay programs, and other reward initiatives to drive employee engagement and performance.
    • Partner with leadership to provide data-driven recommendations for executive compensation and strategic workforce planning.
  • HRIS Leadership and Management: (Essential)
    • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of HRIS platforms to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify HR technology needs and implement innovative solutions.
    • Ensure accurate reporting and analytics capabilities, providing insights for strategic decision-making across HR functions.
    • Manage vendor relationships and oversee system upgrades and integrations.
    • Lead efforts to train HR staff and other stakeholders on system usage and capabilities.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration: (Essential)
    • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of compensation and HRIS professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
    • Collaborate with HR and organizational leaders to ensure alignment of HRIS and compensation strategies with broader HR and organizational goals.
    • Act as a strategic advisor to the Executive Director, Talent Management & Vice President for Human Resources & Organizational Development, providing insights on market trends and best practices.
    • Liaison to Finance, Payroll, divisional supervisors, and constituency groups on matters involving compensation.
  • Compliance and Governance: (Essential)
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to compensation, HRIS, and data privacy.
    • Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to compensation and HRIS to promote consistency and fairness.
    • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and data security across all HR systems and processes.
