Job Summary: Responsible for providing tutoring to students in discipline(s), as assigned. Assist in the delivery of tutoring services. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years experience.

Associate's degree and/or professional license in technical or health care fields.

Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Such as those listed above.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule of hours including days, evenings and weekends.

Job Specific Task List:

  • Facilitate one-on-one and group tutorial sessions tailored to meet student needs for content and learning styles. - (Essential)
  • Conduct workshops for students. - (Essential)
  • Assist in maintaining ongoing and accurate records of student contacts and concerns. - (Essential)
  • Support peer tutors on duty as needed. - (Essential)
  • Identify and recommend to the Tutoring Assistant Director or Coordinators instructional and operational needs; develop Tutoring materials as needed. - (Essential)
  • Fulfill grant requirements and reports as required and requested. - (Essential)
  • Participate in the evaluation and assessment of program services. - (Essential)
  • Meet, as needed, with the Tutoring Assistant Director and Coordinators. - (Essential)
  • Participate and assist in tutor trainings. - (Essential)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. - (Standard)
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills. - (Standard)
  • Ability to work with a diverse student population. - (Standard)
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule of hours including days, evenings and weekends. This position can be assigned to any campus location, work remote or hybrid or a combination. - (Standard)
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to supporting classes as in-class/integrated tutor. - (Standard)

Job Type: Part-Time (less than 1,000 hours)
