This opportunity is for the Gettysburg, PA Campus.

Job Summary: Oversees the training of Student and Casual Workers. Orders for assigned departments. Coordinates stores cashiering process. 

Minimum Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma or equivalent and 4 years experience.*
*Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Such as those listed above.

Licensing Requirements:

Hiring Range: $31,831- $39,789

Preferred Qualifications: • Excellent customer service oral, written, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel), Google Applications (e.g., Documents, Sheets, and Calendars) and ability to learning new software (e.g., Banner, PrismCore, PrismPOS, UPS Worldship and FedEx shipping software)
• Ability to create posts for social media (example Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and to design sales flyers in coordination with GM buyers and OCA.
• Ability to create schedules for cashiers.

Job Specific Task List:

  • Provides customer service to all customers; assist customers with their purchases in all departments; answers customer questions and inquiries. - (Essential)
  • Uses the cash registers and POS system to process all types of sales and refund transactions; creates textbook returns and processes buyback transactions in ICS. - (Essential)
  • Unpacks merchandise from cartons weighing up to 50 pounds; verifies quantities, ISBNs, and XREF numbers; enters receiving in ICS; reports discrepancies and damages to Buyer; shelves merchandise in accordance with the store's shelf system. - (Essential)
  • Assists in processes of invoices & credits for assigned departments; monitors expiring invoices, edits credit requests. - (Essential)
  • Opens and closes store; runs daily sales reports; follows opening and closing procedures. - (Essential)
  • Orders food, drink, trade book, and office items to be sold at the store; processes web orders and returns received from bookstore website. - (Essential)
  • Responsible for training, and overseeing student and casual workers; Oversees all cashier workers, stations, register levels, and the policies and regulations governing each. - (Essential)
  • Assists store manager in marketing the store; assists manager with textbook buyback and edits buyback list when appropriate . - (Essential)
  • Acts as backup to store manager and/or assistant textbook managers in all areas except textbook ordering decisions. - (Essential)
  • Other duties as assigned. - (Standard)
