Job Summary: The Associate Registrar of Graduation and Curriculum oversees the integration and functionality of Banner and Degree-Works, ensuring accurate student records and compliance with curriculum rules. This position manages catalog updates, graduation evaluations, and exceptions, while also providing training, support, and strategic guidance for academic systems and processes. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree and three years of experience or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Job Specific Task List:

  • Coordinates the relationship between Banner and Degree-Works and has a strong understanding of the curriculum and catalog rules. - (Essential)
  • Coordinates and leads Degree-Works functional training. - (Essential)
  • Responsible for reviewing, evaluating and authenticating that students have met all graduation requirements. - (Essential)
  • Leads and manages the scribing of new catalog years in Degree-Works. - (Essential)
  • Maintains HACC's computerized system of degree exceptions by overseeing the appropriateness of exceptions granted by academic affairs, overseeing posting of exceptions, and training staff on all procedures associated with the process. - (Essential)
  • Collaborates and advises the Registrar in establishing short and long term plans; assesses effectiveness and efficiency of processes; ensures accurate and timely information on curriculum, policies, and procedures; ensures compliance with College policy, creates an environment responsive to the needs of the office's constituents. - (Essential)
  • Collaborates with curriculum committees, deans, department chairs, faculty, and other staff to develop and implement procedures and systems for curriculum management and academic publications. - (Essential)
  • Ensure accurate and timely transmission of data from the curriculum management system to Banner and the DegreeWorks degree audit system. - (Essential)
  • Serves as a functional resource for Ellucian Banner Student, CAPP, Degree-Works, and other systems. - (Essential)
  • Serves as liaison with HACC's information technology professionals. - (Essential)
  • Performs functional testing of enterprise application upgrades related to graduation, prerequisites, and curriculum processes; works with information technology staff to troubleshoot problems with system functions. - (Essential)
  • Performs other duties as assigned. - (Essential)
