Job Summary: Responsible for leading an academic department, including accreditation, curriculum development, assessment and revision, faculty effectiveness, and student success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) and 5 years of teaching experience*
*Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements:
Hiring Range:No less than $80,123 for base salary for 12 month Faculty position. Additional pay added for department chair responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of PA nursing licensure and accreditation.
Job Specific Task List:
Essential (Illustrative only - not inclusive of every task assigned to a position).
1. Manage and record information related to program accreditation, including required student experiences, curriculum maintenance, assessment, faculty resources, and documentation.
2. Collaborate with academic administration to set priorities for department, make faculty hiring recommendations, provide input into strategic planning, and develop standards for connecting program resources to curriculum.
3. Collaborate with academic administration regarding capital and personnel requests and the professional development budget.
4. Serve as point of contact both internally and externally for the department relative to recruitment, placement services, articulation, transfer issues, curriculum, counseling, library, department meetings, advisory committees, and student recognition.
5. Monitor external educational needs to develop and implement new courses and programs; lead program, course, general education, and learning outcome assessments.
6. Collaborate with academic administration on course offerings and class scheduling; recommend faculty assignments.
7. Complete full-time faculty evaluations with required consult of campus academic dean and VL directors.
8. Respond to student requests for course information, and collaborate with campus academic deans to resolve student curricular complaints.
9. Serve on committees and make recommendations on college policies and procedures.
10. Teach a minimum of three credits in each Fall and Spring semester.
11. Collaborate with the academic deans in the supervision - and support of full-time faculty in areas of curriculum, college service, primary area of responsibility, professional development, and advising.
12. Supervise Campus Program Directors.
13. Ensure adjunct faculty are course certified and observed in accordance with college policy.
14. Grow, develop, implement, and assess curriculum.
15. Represent HACC at Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and other external agencies Performs Travels to each campus on a regular basis Prepares and provides instruction for given course load Supervises and assigns work to faculty Builds and maintains relationships with outside entities Develops, monitors, and implements program offerings
