About the role
In this role, you’ll work at the heart of a major transformation program, partnering with program teams and stakeholders to shape data, reporting, and integration requirements for our EAM and CRM implementations. You’ll define data mappings, transformation rules, and validation logic, while playing a hands-on role in data migration and working closely with IT to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards.
Turning business needs into clear technical specifications, you’ll champion data quality and integrity at every stage, ensuring the delivery of accurate, connected systems that drive real business outcomes.
Work type: 2 year fixed -term contract.
Classification: Band 8, $122,040 + super.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with business stakeholders to capture and define data, reporting, and integration requirements—including API specifications—ensuring alignment with business processes and system implementations
- Analyse system integration and data architecture needs, mapping data flows, defining business rules, and producing clear technical specifications to guide solution design
- Lead the definition of data mappings, transformation rules, and validation logic for ETL processes and data migration, working closely with technical teams to deliver accurate, integrated outcomes
- Support end-to-end data migration activities, including planning, data validation, reconciliation, and cutover for program delivery
- Collaborate with IT to design data architecture and API-led integrations, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards and technical constraints
- Translate business needs into reporting and business intelligence solutions, defining requirements for dashboards, reports, and analytics
- Champion data quality by validating integrity, accuracy, and completeness across source and target systems throughout migration and integration
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, particularly where data and integration impacts are critical, capturing both functional and non-functional needs
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar fields with significant professional experience in a comparable organisation.
Essential Experience:
- Demonstrated progressional experience in Data Analysis.
- Demonstrated experience across projects and programs in a comparable organisation.
- Experience working across high profile projects or programs with multiple enterprise wide integrated and inter-related systems
- Extensive experience identifying and documenting both business and system requirements
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and frameworks
- Experience in business process design/re-engineering and implementation
- Sound understanding of contemporary change management processes
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills working with complex and/or challenging internal and external stakeholders
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a Working with Children's Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
