About the role
Reporting to the Senior Change Lead within Ditigal Information & Technology, this role sits within the Change Office and plays a key part in delivering high-impact change across the organisation. As Change Lead, you’ll design and implement practical, people-focused change strategies that drive adoption, minimise resistance, and support successful program delivery.
Partnering with leaders across the organisation, you’ll identify change needs, lead end-to-end change activities, and deliver targeted training solutions. From conducting training needs analysis to developing tailored learning programs, you’ll ensure employees are equipped to embrace change and realise its benefits.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end change management activities across programs of work, supporting digital and business transformation initiatives, partnering with subject matter experts to plan, coordinate and deliver successful change outcomes.
- Design and deliver targeted training solutions including training needs analysis, planning, and development of engaging learning activities aligned with adult learning principles and delivered in partnership with the Learning & Development team.
- Manage change and communications delivery by implementing structured change and communication plans for technology-enabled initiatives, while proactively identifying and addressing risks or issues that may impact outcomes.
- Provide expert change advice and solutions to stakeholders, ensuring digital initiatives align with the City’s strategic priorities.
- Empower leaders to lead change effectively by coaching them to plan key conversations and deliver engaging information sessions, presentations, and change communications.
- Create impactful reports, briefings and presentations to engage stakeholders and support successful change adoption.
- Monitor risks and track key indicators, identifying and escalating issues early to keep change initiatives on track.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will be a Certified Change Management Practitioner and have a Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Commerce/Business, Organisation Psychology or a similar field, plus substantial experience in a change management position.
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record in leading large-scale transformational change, including technology-enabled change, achieving organisational objectives while driving employee engagement.
- Skilled in developing and implementing change and communication strategies and plans that deliver measurable results.
- Experienced in navigating complex change environments, influencing and driving change across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to balance perspectives and build consensus across multiple groups.
- Demonstrated experience in training design and delivery, including conducting training needs analysis and developing materials for new systems or digital tools with diverse stakeholders.
- Adept at creating a positive change climate, motivating teams and stakeholders to achieve organisational change objectives.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children’s Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
