Program Manager - Workforce Initiatives - LED FastStart LCTCS Baton Rouge, LA
This position provides assistance for LED (LA Economic Development) FastStart projects statewide, LED Prospects and other Louisiana workforce initiatives. The incumbent will interface with clients of LED FastStart, LED Prospects and other Louisiana workforce partners under broad supervision of the Director of Workforce Initiatives. Duties will include managing of workforce initiatives in regard to LED FastStart Projects and statewide partners within K-12, 2 & 4 year colleges, economic development organizations, and others as directed. The Program Manager will work with the Director of Workforce Initiatives and other staff members to evaluate and standardize business processes and tools in order to ensure the quality of support of the LED FastStart Workforce Initiatives department. Other duties include interfacing with LED and the LED FastStart’s Director team to communicate statewide metrics of support provided by the LED FastStart Workforce Initiatives’ department. In addition, the Program Manager will assist the Director of Workforce Initiatives with special project support on demand as needed. LED FastStart, Louisiana Economic Development’s single-source, workforce solutions provider is building a world-class team to support Louisiana’s workforce for new and expanding companies. Our primary focus is to assist companies in Recruitment, Training, and Sustaining their workforce during and after their LED FastStart project is closed. We work with each company to develop and deliver customized training programs for their new workforce. We are in partnership with the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS), 4 year colleges, public and private, Workforce Development Boards, LWC, Economic Development Orgs, Non-Profit Orgs, Community based education programs, and Board of Regents. The Workforce Initiatives support will be developed during pre and post-employment and enable the company to launch a new operation or to expand an existing operation.
