Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist in food preparation, cooking and assembly:
o Helping cooks prepare meals by washing, cutting, peeling, and slicing ingredients.
o Chop, dice and slice vegetables, fruits and other food items.
o Measure and portion ingredients accurately.
o Assist in preparation tasks such as blanching vegetables, boiling eggs, or par-cooking meats.
o Assist in cooking basic breakfast and lunch items such as eggs, sandwiches, salads, soups, and simple entrees.
o Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and toasters.
o Follow recipes and instructions for cooking various dishes.
o Plate and garnish dishes.
• Cleaning and sanitization:
o Mopping and sweeping the kitchen.
o Disposal of waste and garbage properly.
o Washing, drying, and putting away all dishes, pots and pans, and kitchen utensils.
o Clearing and cleaning tables as necessary, refilling condiments and other supplies.
o Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.
• Assist cashier(s):
o Greet and assist customers at the cash register.
o Ring up purchases accurately using the system.
o Handle cash transactions and provide change to customers.
o Provide service to customers by answering questions about menu items or special requests.
o Packing takeout orders.
• Stocking and inventory management:
o Unloading food supplies from delivery trucks.
o Store food supplies and ingredients properly.
o Assist in checking inventory levels and notifying supervisors when supplies are running low.
o Organize and rotate stock as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent
Required Experience:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Ability to follow recipes and use appropriate utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to learn the Point-of-Sale system and handle cash and cards.
• Knowledge of proper waste management and cleaning procedures.

Preferred Experience: One or more years in the food industry
