Duties and Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
• Provide administrative support to advancement and foundation staff.
• Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments and events.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, and meeting materials.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and serve as a professional point of contact for donors, alumni, and community partners.
• Process invoices, purchase requests, reimbursements, and other departmental paperwork.
• Assist with event logistics, registrations, and follow-up communications.
• Support donor acknowledgment processes, including thank-you letters and gift documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding donor records, financial information, and institutional business.
Donor and Prospect Research
• Conduct research on individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations to identify potential donors and funding opportunities.
• Gather and organize publicly available information related to philanthropic capacity, charitable giving history, business affiliations, and community involvement.
• Assist in preparing donor profiles, prospect briefings, and background reports for college leadership and advancement staff.
• Maintain accurate donor and prospect records within the college CRM/database system.
• Monitor news sources, business publications, and community announcements for potential donor engagement opportunities.
• Support moves management and donor tracking activities.
• Assist with grant prospect identification and basic funding opportunity research.
• Ensure data accuracy and adherence to ethical fundraising and privacy standards.
• Maintain performance standards and pursue goals, objectives, and activities that promote the mission, vision and value statement of the College.

• Foster, demonstrate, and actively participate in a culture of mutual respect for students, guests, and co-workers from all backgrounds, perspectives and abilities. Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and supervisors and utilize appropriate channels of communication within the college community concerning procedures and/or inquiries.
• Attend and participate in scheduled activities, which include graduation, open house/recruiting events as assigned, convocation, and required meetings. Share ideas and information, and work toward common department and College goals.
• Serve on college committees as a member or as chair. Serve on search committees.
• Participate in professional development activities that enhance effectiveness (convocation, LCTC conference, etc.).
• Represent the college in a manner that promotes a professional and positive image.
• Adhere to College and LCTC policies.
• Embrace college culture.
• Complete all required assignments prior to deadlines (Fletcher/LCTC trainings, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education: Associate’s degree. High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of full-time experience may substitute for the Associate’s Degree.
Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education, nonprofit organizations, fundraising, or advancement operations, Experience conducting prospect research or wealth screening research, Experience within a major giving or capital campaign.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, or similar platforms, Knowledge of fundraising principles and donor stewardship practices, Prior or Current Membership in Association of Fundraising Professional (AFP) and/or American Prospect Research Association (APRA), Current holder or eligible to apply for Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE)
