This is a full-time, nine-month position beginning in January 2024. The School of Business and Applied Technology offers an AAS in Accounting. The Instructor – Accounting conducts college-level, transferrable courses in the discipline area of accounting while developing and designing curriculum plans that foster learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement. This Instructor is responsible for preparing and delivering lectures online, on-ground, and/or in hybrid situations, creating a learning environment, and assessing student learning. The Instructor – Accounting maintains accurate grade and attendance records, and individual student progress data, and ensures this is a part of the student’s permanent record; adheres to all laws about disclosure of student records; posts at the office and on the syllabus, on-campus and/or virtual hours to facilitate interaction with students, other faculty, staff administrators, and the public. The Instructor – Accounting must be available to students via email, phone, and/or in-person conference, and may mentor other staff or students. The teaching load for Instructor – Accounting is 15 hours. Overload courses may be available.
