Job Summary: The Classroom Aide Coordinator is a grant-funded position, required under the PA Department of Education, Division of Adult Basic Education and Family Literacy state grant for the purpose of recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising volunteer classroom aides who will assist and support GED instructors/students during in-class activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related GED or secondary education experience.
Licensing Requirements:
Hiring Range: $25-$37/Hour
Preferred Qualifications: 5-10 years of secondary or post-secondary teaching experience.
Job Specific Task List:
- 50% - Recruit and train volunteer GED classroom aides. - (Essential)
- 25% - Develop, coordinate, and assign classroom aide schedules - (Essential)
- 25% - Collaborate with GED instructors, GED coordinator, and program improvement team to brainstorm classroom activities and other ways to best utilize classroom aides for student success. - (Essential)
- Performs other duties as assigned. - (Standard)
