Job Summary: Responsible for overall management of campus dining services; directly supervises the daily operations of the front and back of the house
operations of the campus dining service; ensures daily schedules of activity and established quality standards are maintained; coordinates
the individual and collective efforts of assigned staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree and 5 years experience, including 2 years supervisory/management experience or a combination of education and experience to successfully complete the duties of the position.
Licensing Requirements: Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications: Must be Serve Safe Certified or have the ability to obtain in six months.
ACF(American Culinary Federation) Certification as a CCC or higher or be able to obtain in less then one year.
Job Specific Task List:
- Apply industry expertise and knowledge of food safety and sanitation laws, practices, and policies to plan and coordinate all aspects of campus dining services, including menu development and cost analysis, inventory and inventory control, cost of goods, staffing, merchandising, service activities, sanitation, and fiscal responsibilities. - (Essential)
- Promote a positive and inclusive educational environment while performing management and supervisory duties including: hire, supervise, train, motivate, evaluate, and supervise dining services employees; make disciplinary and termination recommendations; approve time sheets. - (Essential)
- Establish dining services operational policies; prepare annual budget and unit goals and objectives; control menu items, costing, and labor schedules in accordance with budgeted costs; collaborate with Culinary Arts Program staff and students to develop menu and include the use of products made in Culinary Arts classes; research and implement new and creative dining service initiatives. - (Essential)
- Estimate food and beverage needs; purchase food, beverages, supplies, and equipment; ensure proper receiving procedures are followed and resolve discrepancies with vendors; prepare purchase orders and invoices for accounts payable processing. Oversee any delegated purchasing to ensure best product for best price is adhered to. - (Essential)
- Responsible for daily opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation, preparation of daily cash reports, and placement of change orders; ensure security procedures are followed during cash counts and armored car service transactions. - (Essential)

- Maintain POS system dashboard and oversee necessary changes in pricing and icon presentation on POS stations. Work with POS provider to continue to improve processes for staff and customers. Become well versed in troubleshooting POS issues as they arise and maintain house accounts on a yearly basis to verify existence. - (Essential)
- Conducts weekly meetings with direct reports to post mortem previous week and high profile events and review upcoming events and challenges. Delegate direct reports to plan future weeks, staffing issues, and delivery challenges to insure appropriate service level and food quality is maintained. - (Essential)
