Job Summary: The School of Education at the University of West Florida in Pensacola invites applications for a (non-tenure) Clinical Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership. The UWF Educational Leadership program is a thriving master's degree-earning principal preparation program. The program faculty is committed to preparing instructional leaders for diverse school settings to positively impact students, schools, communities, and the world. Although the program is fully online, applicants must complete on-campus office hours and attend in-person School of Education meetings. Candidate must be willing to serve on dissertation committees for the School of Education.

The successful candidate will foster student learning through innovation and effective instructional practices using technology-based learning platforms to teach twelve credit hours per semester of online master's level courses in educational leadership. A successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the application of data and research to drive programmatic changes for continuous improvement.

Through this search, we seek an energetic, committed colleague who will contribute to the goals and mission of the program by providing rigorous and relevant courses with an emphasis on the following:
Modeling ethical leadership practices;
Fostering a collaborative learning environment;
Integrating data-driven decision-making;
Participating in embedded field experiences in eight courses;
Connecting theory to practice in two clinical courses, Instructional Leadership and the Principalship; and
Provide mentoring support to master's and doctoral-level students.
Department Teaching, Leadership and Research
FLSA: Exempt
Minimum Qualifications: Expected to hold a doctorate or terminal master’s degree in the discipline from an accredited institution. Must have a certification and/or licensure as speciated by the department of the appointment. Must have experience in clinical or professional practice and show promise of excellence in teaching, clinical supervision and/or direction (as appropriate to the discipline), and professional productivity and service, including but not limited to clinical service.
Position Qualifications: Earned doctorate in educational leadership or a related field and K-12 experience;
Demonstrated knowledge of school and district-level leadership, policy, and instructional leadership practices;
At least one academic year of university-level or adjunct teaching experience in education;
Served as a school principal or leadership experience for at least three years and
Dissertation committee experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with online teaching, course development, and student support;
K-12 teaching experience; and
Expertise with data management and analysis.
