Job Summary: Development and Management: Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases of extended reality, simulation, and AI project initiatives. Oversee daily operations at the institute by maintaining regular communication with the institute Director/Faculty Lead. Coordinates the scheduling of the institute’s physical and virtual lab facilities. Responsibility for maintenance, updates, and general operation of all virtual reality equipment, simulation equipment, audio-visual equipment, platforms and licensing, and computers used in the institute. Manages all institute projects through the full life cycle.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the institute processes and equipment. Act upon institute Director/Faculty Lead quality enhancement initiatives. Develop best practices and project development processes in a quickly changing and dynamic environment based on student, faculty, and university needs. Drive impact through high quality key institute initiatives and garner stakeholder adoption and support.

Collaboration and Partnerships: Collaborate with stakeholders including UWF SOE faculty and administration, ITS, CTLT, established vendors, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment between institute initiatives and organizational goals/mission. Establish partnerships with relevant vendors, educational organizations, and industry experts to stay informed about best practices and emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Position Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in related field.
Experience in instructional design and development.
Experience developing on virtual reality platforms (e.g., Engage, Spatial, ThingLink).
Experience with 3D modeling and development (e.g., Unity, Blender, Sketchup).
Experience with AI frameworks and methodologies.
