Job Summary: | The University of West Florida (UWF) Center for Cybersecurity in Pensacola, Florida, invites applications and nominations for Associate Director for the Center for Cybersecurity (Position Number 126030) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor dependent on qualifications and experience. The position can be non-tenure earning, tenure-track, or tenured depending on the candidate's education and experience. The Associate Director will help lead and support the Center’s nationally recognized education, training, research, and outreach activities. This is a full-time, 12- month position (9-month position with a guaranteed 1.0 FTE summer appointment) that can start June 2023 or later. Salary is competitive and commensurate with education, experience, and rank. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Ph.D. in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline from an accredited institution with a strong commitment to cybersecurity-related teaching, research, administration, and service. |

Preferred Qualifications | Candidates who have some of the qualifications below are preferred. Demonstrated experience and accomplishments in cybersecurity teaching, grants, and/or research appropriate for the academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity teaching, training, and/or curriculum development, as evident through development and instruction of cybersecurity courses and training programs in face-to-face, online, or hybrid learning environments, and teaching recognitions. Demonstrated ability to secure external funding, including grants and contracts, to support education, training, workforce development, and research programs. Prior experience in the role of PI or Co-PI on funded grants and contracts. Administrative or management experience, including managing training and/or workforce development programs. Familiarity with cyber ranges and their use to enhance education and training. Cybersecurity industry certifications, such as Security+, CEH, or CISSP. Capable of holding a security clearance. |
