Team Leader - The Bush Retreat - Secondment Opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated Full time Team Leader to lead a team of Support Workers to support our customers, for a 6 week secondment.

As part of the Community division you will lead the respite services at The Bush Retreat in Beeliar. You will work alongside customers, their families/guardians, and staff teams to ensure that people receive quality and safe holiday experiences (short term respite) 

These homes enable people with disability to have enjoyable breaks from their day to day routines. You will lead and support those who directly report to you including delivering onsite coaching, mentoring and performance development activities.

As Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Mentoring and coaching of the Support Workers in your team
  • Ensure the team provides an excellent quality of service to Rocky Bays customers
  • Develop partnerships with Rocky Bay customers and their families to support continuous improvement of customer services
  • Provide leadership to establish and maintain a culture of professionalism, teamwork, achievement and accountability
  • Drive a culture of good governance ensuring that the reputation of Rocky Bay is held in high esteem and that Rocky Bay is consistently recognised as a leading brand

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role and a high level of understanding of leading support services within the community
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Display attitude and behavior's which support the expressed values of Rocky Bay
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to develop effective relationships and to motivate, encourage and direct the efforts of others to meet all objectives
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
