About You:

Rocky Bay seeks passionate, caring, and dedicated disability support workers who are as diverse as our customers to join the Rocky Bay team and support people with complex health, behaviour and support needs. You will be friendly, approachable, have a positive and can-do attitude right attributes and attitudes, and be able to demonstrate a commitment to supporting people living with disability.

About the role:

We are looking for Disability Support Workers to work at our Mosman Park Supported Accommodation to support adults with disabilities and often complex, challenging behaviours.

You will deliver innovative and person-centred support to Rocky Bay’s customers, assisting them to achieve their life goals and ambitions. With a focus on providing individualised support, you will have the opportunity to get out and about with your customers during community visits or support them in their home with daily activities. You will also be required to assist with personal care and medication administration.

Applicants must be available and flexible to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday.

What you will need:

To be considered for the role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker or in a similar role (desirable but not essential)
  • Qualification in Disability or similar (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience with medications, manual handling, hoists, etc
  • Experience working with adults with complex support needs (in depth training is provided)
  • A desire to support people achieve their goals
  • A positive attitude, enthusiasm and flexibility
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • NDIS Orientation Module
  • A NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence
  • National Police Clearance no older than 3 months
  • Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011)
