Hiring Range: $35-$60 per hour (dependent on expereince)

This position will be open until filled. 

Job Summary: Workforce Development (WFD) instructors are part time/per diem instructors hired to teach specific classes or programs that are scheduled and taught at various times throughout the calendar year. WFD instructors will utilize multiple teaching methods, including online instruction, face to face skills training and simulation activities. In addition to providing classroom or on-line instruction, WFD instructors may also develop, modify or customize new or existing curriculum and lesson plans in accordance with College and Department curriculum requirements and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates’ Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Cybersecurity, or related degree field with a minimum of two (2) years work experience in the industry OR six (6)+ years of industry experience with industry credentials.

Qualified candidates will have COMPTIA experience and COMPTIA certifications including Network+ and Security+.

Licensing Requirements:

Hiring Range: $35-$60 per hour (dependent on experience)

  • Assess student engagement/understanding during each class - (Essential)
  • Assess and monitor student progress and understanding while providing meaningful feedback - (Essential)
  • Provide academic advice and guidance to students - (Essential)
  • Maintain and update course materials and syllabus to maintain current industry best practices - (Essential)
  • Online instruction and face-to-face skills instruction - (Essential)
  • Performs other duties as assigned. - (Standard)

It is HACC’s expectation that candidates selected for this role will provide their own technology equipment.

Your own computer (Windows, Linux, or Macintosh desktop or laptop) with current web browser installed (Firefox, Edge, Safari, Chrome)

Access to broadband internet connection at all times during employment (DSL, 4G/LTE, FIOS, Satellite, or Cable/Xfinity/Comcast

Equipment/technology which enables you to communicate synchronously during meetings and other events, such as USB Headset, speaker and microphone, captioning services, adaptive technology, assistive devices, etc.
