Job Summary: The successful candidate will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level, conduct academic research, advise students, mentor student projects, and perform service activities that contribute to the success of the department and the mission of the university. This position will be located at our Pensacola campus.

Minimum Qualifications: Holds the highest degree appropriate to the field or possesses equivalent qualifications based on professional experience, and be otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. The appointee engages in teaching, scholarship and creative projects, and/or service and other related activities.
Position Qualifications: Minimum requirements are a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the start date of the appointment with a strong commitment to teaching, academic research and service along with a potential for external funding.
Preferred Qualifications While all areas within Mechanical Engineering will be considered, preference will be given to candidates with a background in composite materials, non-destructive evaluation, mechatronics, marine engineering, or hydrodynamics.
