Position Title (Classification Title):  OPS Research Assistant in CEDB
Working Title:  Research Assistant in CEDB
Job Summary: Conduct research on discovery of metabolic diversity for biodegradation of organic compounds. Biodegradation studies involve studies of bacteria that degrade both synthetic and natural organic compounds. Other duties include ordering supplies, maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure proper operation, and contribute to publications.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science and 2 years experience or Master's of Science.
Position Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science and 2 years experience or Master's of Science in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field.

Experience should be in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or microbial ecology. Experience with molecular techniques, instrumental analysis, and culturing microorganisms. Ability to conduct and direct research tasks, prepare workplans, make technical presentations.
