Associate Director, Leadership Giving

| Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts, the Associate Director, Leadership Giving serves as a member of the Individual Giving team, partnering closely with colleagues in major giving, principal giving and planned giving teams to steward, qualify, cultivate, and solicit prospects through the donor pipeline.
The Associate Director position is responsible for soliciting leadership-level gifts ($1,000 < $100,000) with a focus on fundraising for the highest priorities of the College, unrestricted Oxy Fund dollars, financial aid, and scholarships. This driven, goal-oriented individual will concentrate their efforts primarily on the acquisition of new gifts while renewing and increasing leadership-level giving, thus growing the College’s financial support year over year and strengthening the base of future major donors.
The Associate Director manages a portfolio of alumni, parents, and families of the College and will cultivate relationships with said individuals to increase support. The Associate Director collaborates closely with the Alumni and Parent Engagement team and other campus partners to strengthen all constituent relationships with the College. The Associate Director develops and oversees alumni fundraising strategy with the goal of driving participation and creating life-long engagement, serving as the point person for strategic fundraising elements for assigned affiliation groups. The Associate Director recruits for and leads these volunteer committees to increase engagement and drive philanthropic initiatives. The Associate Director may manage student workers and projects that support departmental needs.

Assistant Director, Leadership Giving

| Reporting to the Director, Leadership Giving, the Assistant Director, Leadership Giving is a frontline fundraiser responsible for managing a portfolio of alumni, parents, families, and friends of the institution, with a focus on securing gifts ranging from $1,000 < $100,000. The Assistant Director supports the engagement of volunteer donors through the parent and family council, alumni affinity groups and class reunions groups. The Assistant Director collaborates across Institutional Advancement (IA), working closely with Alumni & Parent Engagement, annual, major, principal, and planned giving teams, as well as Advancement Services, to meet fundraising goals and support academic, student engagement, and community engagement fundraising priorities. This position requires up to 60% travel and manages a territory that includes Southern California and other locations across the country. |

Executive Director, Principal Gifts

| Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development, the Executive Director, Principal Gifts provides strategic leadership to grow Occidental’s Principal Gifts Program. The Executive Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating and soliciting transformational philanthropic investments ($500K+) that advance the College’s mission and top priorities, managing a portfolio of Occidental’s most generous donors and high-capacity prospects. The Executive Director will provide guidance and mentorship for members of the Institutional Advancement team on fundraising strategies for securing principal gifts.
The Executive Director, Principal Gifts, will work closely with senior leadership, including leadership volunteers, to deepen engagement and expand the pool of principal gift supporters. In collaboration with the Vice President of Institutional Advancement, they also ensure the President’s active involvement with top donors and prospects. |

Applied Music Instructor

| The Piano Instructor will teach half-hour and hour-long lessons to undergraduate students ranging from beginning to advanced levels, utilizing a broad knowledge of classical and contemporary repertoire. In addition to core instruction, the role involves adjudicating end-of-semester juries and mentoring Music majors on developing their junior and senior recital programs. Frequent opportunities also exist to collaborate with departmental colleagues through chamber music coaching and performances in faculty concerts. Applicants must hold a minimum of a Master of Music (MM) in Piano Performance and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching within a liberal arts environment. |

| Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Development, the Development Coordinator will work closely within the Institutional Advancement (IA) team, providing administrative and office management support to the frontline fundraising team, ensuring office procedures flow smoothly and efficiently. Director, Associate Gift Plan Administration & Stewardship

| Reporting to the Senior Director of Gift Planning, the Associate Director of Gift Planning Administration and Stewardship assists the directors in implementing activities that support the planned giving program and help achieve annual fundraising goals. The Associate Director plays a crucial role in the stewardship of planned giving donors and the cultivation of prospective planned giving donors to the College. The Associate Director manages the daily administrative and functional operations of the Office of Gift Planning; supports planned giving proposal writing, gift agreement drafting, and gift analyses for the team and Individual Giving officers as needed; and acts as a liaison with donors, investment managers, attorneys, governmental agencies, and outside vendors. This role also involves working on trust asset reconciliation and handling securities, real estate, IRA, and cash transfers associated with trust and annuity pools; managing estate and trust issues and payment processing; and assisting Marketing & Communications with planned givingspecific materials in coordination with Institutional Advancement’s communications activities. | Reporting to the Trades Manager, the Electrician A will perform advanced journey-level electrical work to maintain, repair, and install electrical systems across campus facilities, ensuring safe and reliable operation of institutional infrastructure. Coordinates the daily work of electricians and assigned staff, providing technical guidance, training, and oversight to ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards. Plans and executes electrical components of maintenance and renovation projects, including estimating materials, reviewing plans, and coordinating with other trades, contractors, and facilities staff.
