Job Description:
The Department of Economics at the University of Toledo invites applications for two non-tenure track, Visiting Assistant Professor positions beginning fall 2024. Visiting Assistant Professors are expected to teach both face-to-face and online sections. The successful candidates will have a background in Economics and will teach undergraduate courses at the principles level, i.e., macroeconomics & microeconomics. Depending on training and teaching experience, other possible assignments could include applied microeconomic courses, and macroeconomics at the intermediate and advanced levels. Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills.
The department currently has 6 full-time faculty members with approximately 40 undergraduate majors and 6 MA students.
Minimum Qualifications:
An MA in Economics is required. We will consider highly qualified candidates from all fields of economics. Candidates must demonstrate the capacity for high-quality instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience at the college level is preferred, especially at the principles level.
