Job Description:
This vital project role supports cardiology and vascular physician leadership and nursing directors for cardiac and vascular surgery inpatient units as well as all related clinics through high level project management that includes multiple hospital departments and senior leadership team members. Supports the assigned service line to revamp and streamline the continuum of care and improve the overall quality, patient experience, and service line financial performance. Analyzes data and develops financial and revenue cycle recommendations to improve operational and revenue cycle as well as new business initiatives across the service line. Participates in the annual budget process. Assists with the development, maintenance and follow up for the business plan and service line meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or a directly related field.
2. Experience with CPT, HCPCS and DRGs for hospital and professional billing preferred.
3. Experience with evaluating and creating financial management reports as well as knowledge of billing compliance standards.
4. Ability to interact and explain analyses and gain acceptance on recommendations with leaders and physicians.
5. Prefer healthcare experience in a hospital or health care system. Extensive knowledge of reimbursement and regulations from governmental sources preferred.
6. Prefer someone with some clinical leadership experience in either a hospital system, physician office, or applicable procedural clinical experience.
Communication and Other Skills
1. Effective written and oral communication skills.
2. Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
3. Must be proficient in spreadsheet and database software.
4. Must have culturally appropriate communication skills.
