Job Description:

This position is responsible for oversight and monitoring of activities related to the Division of Physician Assistant Studies, Department of Family Medicine in accordance their accrediting body, the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). This position is responsible for curricular implementation, documentation, planning, and coordination of activities related to the department’s policies and procedures, specifically the Physician Assistant Studies program.

This position will be responsible for the PA program which must run efficiently to maintain the high-quality standards required at The University of Toledo and fulfill its mission of being student-centered. This position is a team member of the Department of Family Medicine, Division of PA Studies, and will work with COMLS faculty, staff, and students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree or equivalent through work experience preferred.
3-5 years of administrative and/or academic support experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related applications (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
Must be highly organized, self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to multi-task high-priority projects.
Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive written and verbal matters.
Must exercise excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requires a willingness and ability to learn new computer programs associated with the department such as blackboard, banner, and curriculum management platforms.
Ability to interpret and understand broad concepts and be efficient in time management.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working in undergraduate medical education or physician assistant education.
- Experience and/or working knowledge of accreditation requirements like ARC-PA.
- Leadership and management skills are helpful.
- Prior experience with program development and implementation.
- Experience with medical terminology preferred.
