Job Description:

This position exists to conduct invasive grass carp removal and to collect and process biological and physical samples needed to carry out research on grass carp. Field and Laboratory Technicians (seasonal) will work either in the field and laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: MS Degree or >3 years post BS or BA experience in a field relevant to fish ecology such as any field of biology, environmental sciences, or natural resources
• Skills
o Lead or coordinate a team in the field or lab
o Manage and manipulate and carry out QA/QC of data in Excel, Access, R, Arc GIS, and other programs
o Experience operating a boat on larger rivers or the Great Lakes
o Experience collecting fish and other biological samples
o Able to work long hours outdoors in all weather conditions
o Prefer fish identification skills and familiarity with aquatic ecosystems
