Job Description:

The Epic Support Specialist is responsible for the training and support of all clinical and administrative team members. The Epic Support Specialist will create training documentation and curriculum; perform technical training for new hires and ongoing user training during system changes/upgrades; participate in quality assurance testing to ensure end user requirements are met with a focus on efficient clinic workflow. The Epic Support Specialist will also perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• A bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Health Information Management, Nursing or a related field is required. Equivalent professional experience in healthcare revenue cycle management or healthcare IT may also be considered.
• Registered Nurse with current licensure in the State of Ohio preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the clinical practice or training practice, experience in coordinating projects, and experience in group presentations required.
• One (1) year of experience in computer related training/support role as an Electronic Health Record super-user.
• Two (2) years’ experience in the design and delivery of teaching adult learners in a classroom setting
• Clinical experience with knowledge of medical terminology and administrative workflows.
• Epic experience preferred.


• Epic Credentialed Trainer required within six months of hire.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Ability to problem solve in the various modules/applications.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to accept changes gracefully.
• Possess strong skills in Microsoft Office, and a self-learner with ability to easily learn new software.
• Ability to teach different kinds of learners and in different methods (remotely, in-person, classroom style, one-on-one, etc.).
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical and critical thinking skills (strong problem-solving skills).
• Must be able to work flexible hours. Some evenings, nights, and weekends are occasionally required and able to respond to issues during non-production hours.
