STUDENT OUTREACH - SUCCESS COACHING - STUDENT SUCCESS PLATFORMS 

The EOC Student Success Advisor exists to provide direct support to program participants as they prepare for and transition into postsecondary education and workforce training. The position provides academic, career, admissions, financial aid, and referral assistance while supporting outreach throughout the program’s service target area.  

Duties and Responsibilities: 40%
Participant Advising, Case Management, and College Access Support: Manage an assigned caseload and provide individualized advising, counseling, mentoring, and support. Assist participants with college admissions, FAFSA/financial aid, scholarship applications, and
connections to postsecondary education and training opportunities.

Outreach and Participant Recruitment: Develop and implement recruitment strategies, conduct outreach throughout the EOC service area, and communicate program services and eligibility requirements to prospective participants.

Community Partnerships and Referral Services: Develop and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, agencies, and other partners; connect participants, including veterans and adult learners, with appropriate educational and support resources.

Workshops and Presentations: Develop and facilitate workshops and presentations on financial literacy, study skills, goal setting, time management, work readiness, college access, and related student success topics.

Participant Records, Tracking, and Documentation: Maintain accurate electronic participant records, document services provided, and monitor participant academic progress, persistence, and outcome

5%
Program Outreach Materials and Events: Support the development of program materials and coordinate resources and logistics for outreach activities, community events, and presentations.

5% other duties as assigned

Required Education: Bachelor's degree education, psychology, social work, business, or a related field

Required Experience: • Minimum of two years of experience providing academic support services, such as academic advising, career counseling, financial aid
assistance, or financial literacy instruction

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Experience working with underrepresented and/or nontraditional students and familiarity with college admissions and financial aid processes.

2. Strong public speaking, interpersonal communication, writing, organizational, and technology skills.

3. Ability to work independently in a results-oriented environment.

Required Licenses or Certifications: Active, Unencumbered driver’s license

Preferred Education: Master's degree: Education, psychology, social work, business, or a related field.

Preferred Experience: • Experience working with military students, veterans, and/or active service members.
• Experience working with adults in community and college settings.
• Demonstrated experience achieving measurable outcomes within established timelines.
First-hand experience overcoming barriers similar to those experienced by EOC participants. Experience overcoming barriers such as those that affect EOC participants
