Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Habits: 25%
• Answer inbound calls related to short-term programs in a professional manner and transfer to the appropriate department.
• Collect contact information from prospective students via inbound calls, emails and texts, and walk ins.
• Speak with walk-in students about program interest and direct them to the appropriate advisor or SoLAcc department.
• Make outbound calls to SNAP direct referrals to gauge interest in SoLAcc programs and direct to an advisor.
• Make outbound calls to Louisiana Works direct referrals to gauge interest in SoLAcc programs and direct to an advisor.
• Make outbound calls to leads in Salesforce with no activity in the past two years to gauge interest in SoLAcc programs and direct to an advisor.

• Enter information about prospective students into Salesforce and record follow-up notes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Provide excellent customer service to all prospective students who email, call or walk in for advising.
• Ability to clearly communicate via phone.

• Ability to solve problems effectively.
• Manage time accordingly to reply to all student inquiries within 24 hours.
• Ability to work effectively in multiple customer relation management tools (Salesforce, SNAP Works, et al).

• Enter accurate prospective student information into the Salesforce database
• Notate all calls to SNAP direct referrals in the SNAP Works system
• Review rosters and attach to campaigns in Salesforce, adjusting students linked to the campaign
• Enter data into Excel spreadsheets for student enrollment and financial aid
• Update Salesforce with MJ Foster applications and approvals
• Review Registrar’s report for LOLA ID and enter in Salesforce
• Maintain the Power Point slides used by the Student Advisors to recruit students
• Make copies of documents and booklets for the Workforce Student Advisors
• Upload documents to SoLAcc’s Teams folder and One-door Hub
• Take notes at meetings and type up those notes
• Maintain Student Advisor job fair resources
• Maintain the shared calendar on Teams
• Enter maintenance and security requests through FMX
Team Relations: 15%
• Assisting with set up of on-site information sessions
• Fosters a positive and productive work environment
• Provides up-to-date information to management
• Escort prospective students to appropriate department at the Lafayette campus
• Collect contact information from prospective students via inbound calls, emails and texts, and walk ins to support to Workforce Student Advisors
• Speak with walk-in students about program interest and direct them to the appropriate advisor or SoLAcc department
• Maintain the shared calendar on TeamsAbility to work effectively within a team-oriented environment

Minimum Qualifications:
• One year of related experience (administrative, sales, higher education, or customer service)
• One year of related experience (sales, recruitment, higher education, customer service) or an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to type 40 WPM at minimum
• Ability to clearly communicate via phone.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
• Ability to meet and/or exceed set program goals and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related field
• Three years of related experience
• Two years of experience working in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
