Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Provide executive leadership and direction for student services operations, programs, personnel, and strategic initiatives across the College.
• Lead the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of student services policies, procedures, goals, and performance measures aligned with institutional priorities.
• Oversee assigned functional areas, which may include admissions, registrar, financial aid, advising partnerships, student conduct, student engagement, retention initiatives, dual enrollment, accessibility services, testing, counseling referrals, and other student support functions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, accreditation expectations, and system policies related to student services operations and student support functions.
• Develop and monitor division goals, key performance indicators, and service standards to improve student access, responsiveness, satisfaction, retention, and completion.
• Use student services data, institutional research, survey results, and operational metrics to assess performance, identify barriers, and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to align student support systems with instructional delivery, workforce programming, enrollment needs, and campus operations.
• Advance a student-centered culture that promotes belonging, equitable access, timely service, and effective intervention for students with diverse needs and backgrounds.
• Supervise and evaluate assigned administrators, directors, and staff, including recruitment, onboarding, professional development, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop, manage, and monitor budgets for assigned areas and ensure efficient stewardship of institutional resources.
• Support accreditation activities, institutional effectiveness reporting, audit response, policy development, and continuous improvement efforts related to student services.
• Represent the College on local, regional, state, and national committees, partnerships, and initiatives related to student affairs and student success.
• Serve as a member of the executive leadership team and contribute to institution-wide planning, policy development, risk management, and decision-making.
• Promote collaboration across campuses and departments to ensure consistent service delivery, strong communication, and coordinated student support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in student affairs, student services, enrollment services, or a closely related area in higher education.
• Demonstrated experience supervising professional staff, managing multiple functional areas, and leading teams in a collaborative and accountable environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of the student lifecycle, including recruitment, admissions, financial aid, registration, retention, student engagement, conduct, support services, and completion strategies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations and institutional policies affecting student services, including FERPA, Title IV, ADA, Clery, student conduct, and related compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and use evidence-based decision-making to improve student outcomes and operational effectiveness.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across departments and campuses.
• Proficiency with student information systems, case management systems, CRM platforms, and other technologies that support student services operations and reporting.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution in Higher Education, Leadership, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Experience within a community or technical college system, preferably in Louisiana.
• Knowledge of SACSCOC Principles of Accreditation, institutional effectiveness processes, and state system reporting expectations.
• Experience leading strategic planning, change management, or division-wide operational improvement initiatives.
• Experience with multi-campus leadership, student success redesign, or integrated support service models.
