Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and develop program and course specific college catalog entries and revisions.
• Plan and develop program policies and procedures.
• Plan and develop program student learning outcomes.
• Ensure syllabi reflect Fletcher’s catalog, policies and procedures as well as student learning outcomes.
• Ensure courses in LMS meet minimal standards of excellence.
• Ensure course content reflects program advisory committee standards as advised through annual program advisory committee input (as applicable).
• Review curriculum revision and development.
• Review programmatic accreditation compliance (as applicable).
• May include oversight of internships and other programmatic requirements.
• May include involvement and coordination with program advisory committees.
• Requires a 9-month contracted commitment.
Program Coordinator Duties:
• Maintain program statistics required by any boards and accreditation bodies.
• Coordinate with Director to schedule faculty for courses prior to each semester.
• Coordinate and schedule all courses prior to the beginning of each semester.
• Track student payments and adjust cohort numbers after each semester (if applicable).
• Maintain communications with the Director, faculty, students, and clinical sites.
• Assist the Director to create a learning environment in which all students are treated equitably and with respect.
• Attend regular meetings for the faculty.
• Monitor and maintain the attendance records of students from faculty for all courses. Report any issues to the Director.
• Maintain records of course syllabi, course exams, and clinical paperwork from faculty for all courses per the record retention schedule.
• Maintain records of all student files including admission evaluation forms, NCLEX pass rates and transcripts (if applicable).
• Oversee the performance and teaching of safety issues in the program.
• Participate and assist in organizing student orientation sessions and prepare and mail any required paperwork for students (if applicable).
• Collaborate with Director to assure consistency with other programs to assure ease in transition from practical nursing program to ASN (if applicable).
• Participate in student orientation sessions.
• Monitor the clinical requirement of each student prior to the student going into a clinical setting and report any delinquencies to the appropriate instructor and Director (if applicable).
• Coordinate clinical education assignments and provide administration, organization, and supervision of the student clinical experience (if applicable)
• Monitor student’s academic records and report to Director any delinquencies.
• Develop, monitor, and follow up on the annual systematic plan of evaluation and any annual reports.
• Advise students and complete form and transcripts as appropriate.
• Assist students in completing graduation and required board paperwork if applicable. Assist graduating students in planning pinning ceremony (if applicable).
• Develop and monitor plan program outcome assessment.
• Must have flexibility to schedule to advise students in program area.
• Must be on site where the program is conducted at least 50% of training performs (this includes classroom, lecture and clinical instruction). (if applicable)
• Must be able to work alongside instructors to provide students with appropriate classroom/lab sessions.
• Provide assistance in lab setting as needed to ensure quality experiences (if applicable).
• Attend and participate in scheduled activities, which include graduation, open house/recruiting events as assigned, advising during registration and any specially held registrations, tutoring, seminars, college in-service, and required meetings. Share ideas and information, and work toward common department and College goals.
• Complete all required assignments prior to deadlines (Fletcher/LCTCS trainings, etc.)
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director, Dean, or VC.
Division Specific Duties:
• Teach assigned courses. Act as facilitator of learning and a manager of information for the students. Participate in efforts to consistently improve the level of student success. Facilitate critical thinking in preparation for and throughout clinical experiences. Flexibility with teaching schedule in relation to revisions/changes/unusual circumstances within the program curriculum.
• Be adaptable to schedule/load adjustments based upon enrollment and accountable for a forty-hour workweek, including instructional responsibilities, planning, meetings, etc.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience: Two years’ clinical experience in the professional discipline; One year experience as an instructor in a JRCERTaccredited program.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
Required Licenses or Certifications: Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent , in radiography.
