Duties and Responsibilities: 

Clinical Education Coordination & Oversight
•Coordinate and correlate clinical education with didactic instruction to ensure continuity between classroom, laboratory (including virtual simulation), and clinical learning experiences.
•Develop, organize, and manage student clinical assignments in collaboration with clinical affiliates.
•Maintain ongoing communication with clinical preceptors and site supervisors to ensure consistent application of clinical objectives and evaluation standards.
•Monitor student progression through clinical rotations and ensure completion of required competencies.

Student Evaluation & Assessment
•Evaluate student clinical performance in collaboration with clinical staff, ensuring fair, consistent, and objective assessment of clinical competencies and professional behaviors.
•Provide timely formative and summative feedback to students to support improvement and reinforce achievement.
•Develop and/or administer written, verbal, and performance-based assessments as needed to evaluate clinical learning outcomes.
•Document and track student clinical progress in accordance with program and institutional policies.

Clinical Site Management & Relationships
•Serve as the primary liaison between the program and assigned clinical education sites.
•Participate in clinical site development, orientation of clinical preceptors, and ongoing evaluation of site effectiveness.
•Ensure clinical affiliates meet program requirements and accreditation standards for student learning experiences.
• Assist in resolving clinical education concerns in collaboration with the Program Director and clinical partners.

Curriculum Support & Program Development
•Assist the Program Director in the development, review, and revision of clinical course syllabi, learning objectives, and evaluation tools.
•Ensure alignment of clinical education with current professional standards, ARRT requirements, and JRCERT accreditation standards.
•Participate in curriculum assessment and continuous program improvement activities.
Accreditation, Assessment & Compliance
•Participate in ongoing program assessment, outcomes evaluation, and accreditation reporting processes.
•Maintain documentation required for program effectiveness measures, including clinical competency tracking and evaluation data.
•Support compliance with institutional, state, and JRCERT accreditation standards.
Instruction & Faculty Participation
•Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction as assigned by the Program Director.
•Contribute to student advising, mentoring, and professional development.
•Participate in program meetings, advisory committee meetings, and institutional service activities.

Professional Development & Leadership
•Maintain current knowledge of radiation therapy practice, clinical education methodologies, and educational best practices through continuing professional development.
•Maintain current ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy.
•Participate in professional organizations and educational activities relevant to the discipline.

Program Operations Support
•Maintain awareness of program policies, procedures, and student performance standards.
•Assist the Program Director in reviewing and revising program policies and procedures as needed.
•Support daily operational needs of the program to ensure effective delivery of instruction and clinical education.

Other Duties
•Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the Radiation Therapy Program and institutional mission.

Required Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree required

Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of documented clinical experience in Radiation Therapy.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited Radiation Therapy Program

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical partners and faculty.

Required Licenses or Certifications: Current ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy.
Current Louisiana License in radiation therapy by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners.

Preferred Education: Master’s Degree preferred (or required for master’s-level program alignment).
