Duties and Responsibilities:
Work Habits
• Oversees the gift cycle, from proposal through stewardship, and prospect development services (research, management, reporting and analytics, and campaign support)
• Supports fundraising and stewardship activities related to major gifts, planned gifts, and corporate and foundation philanthropy; and establish protocols and procedures to support all types of giving
• Oversees the management of all third-party online giving platforms
• Manages the collection, preparation, analysis, and maintenance of prospect and donor data, requiring a comprehensive knowledge of data management and ensuring that materials are structured so that the Development team can advance fundraising and alumni engagement through strategic decisions
• Leads the implementation and optimization of all Advancement-related software platforms
• Drives pipeline growth by leveraging research tools to identify new prospects; manages the prospect portfolio system to support the fundraising team’s cultivation and solicitation efforts.
• Manages donor database usage by Advancement staff, including developing data entry protocols and procedures for the Development team
• Provides research on donors and prospects; prepares donor prospect profiles which includes philanthropic, financial, personal and historical data on prospective Foundation donors
• Designs, produces, and manages queries, exports, and reports to enable prospect management, campaign reports for board and committee meetings, analytical reports, solicitation updates, data for national fundraising reports (CASE VSE), prospect identification reports, benchmarking reports and peer comparisons
• Oversees acknowledgment of pledges, pledge payments, matching gifts, memorial gifts, in-honor gifts, and other contributions to SoLAcc/Foundation for SoLAcc in accordance with IRS standards
• Manages donor stewardship, including report materials for high-level donors, and develops annual plans for donor stewardship touchpoints
• Leads the Development team’s response to annual third-party audits of the Foundation for SoLAcc
• Develops endowment reports for Foundation Board of Directors, liaising with financial managers and third-party investment companies
• Liaises with the Foundation's external bookkeeper to ensure the integrity of gift processing, reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations tied to higher education fundraising and nonprofit organizations
• Predictable and reliable attendance is required in order to provide consistency and continuity of business and educational services.
Institutional Support
• Serves on college committees, tasks forces, and cross-functional work teams as appropriate, and may represent the college on external teams
• Plans and executes a complex schedule of events with the Development team and manages the operational details and logistics
Team Relations
• Oversees the Foundation’s board management software and board repository; partners with the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement to develop agendas and meeting materials; prepares and distributes board meeting books; attends board and committee meetings; and manages post-meeting documentation, including minutes, action items, approvals, and required signatures
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement and External Relations, including college and donor relations, Foundation for SoLAcc initiatives, fund development and campaign activities, meetings, and special events successfully to meet revenue generation goals
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or a minimum of three years relevant work substitution.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
Valid, unencumbered driver's license
