Duties and Responsibilities: 

Work Habits
• Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, generate reports, and streamline administrative operations.
• Troubleshoot, classify, and resolve system issues; analyze trends to implement proactive measures and prevent recurring problems.
• Monitor, upgrade, and maintain systems to ensure uninterrupted and efficient operation.
Document the current state, system faults, performance reports, trouble tickets, and actionable recommendations for system improvements.
• Document system changes, issue resolutions, and follow established management protocols to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Performance Analysis: Test system performance and generate statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining a high level of infrastructure integrity and system availability.

Behavioral Standards
• Applies system analysis techniques and procedures with computer systems, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
• Analyze, documents, tests, and modifies computer and systems or programs, based on and related to user or system design specifications.
• Documents, tests, and modifies computer programs related to machine operating systems.
• Respond promptly to all system outages, coordinating with internal teams and vendors for resolution.
• Coordinate support and procure assistance from vendors as necessary to maintain system uptime and performance. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Institutional Support
• Deploy and manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune, ensuring systems are compliant and optimized.
• Manage application deployments, updates, and removals through Intune to maintain software consistency and compliance.
• Administer and monitor print services using Windows Print Server, including deployment and policy management.
• Maintain and support Windows Server environments (on-premises and cloud-based), including various roles and services.
• Configure and manage Windows Defender Firewall and related security settings on endpoints.

Team Relations
• Respond to vulnerability reports from the Security team by applying OS and application patches, removing unapproved software, and taking other corrective actions as needed.
• Provide support to the department and the organization as needed and assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field and two years of experience in Information Technology; or Four years of experience in Information Technology.

Required Licenses or Certifications: 

Valid, unencumbered driver's license

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), Microsoft certifications (MD-102, AZ-900, etc.), are highly valued but not required.
