Duties and Responsibilities:
One-on-One Student Coaching
• Coach students in all processes of effective writing, college-level reading, and presentation skills
• Support students in developing revision plans for their assignments and sustainable learning habits
• Provide encouraging, constructive feedback that empowers students to grow as learners
• Meet with students both in-person and virtually
Create a Welcoming Environment
• Be part of a team that maintains a friendly, inclusive space where all students feel supported and affirmed
• Connect students with additional campus resources when helpful
• Build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
Professional Development and Administrative Tasks
• Complete required trainings toward CRLA/ITTPC Level 1 & 2 Tutor Certification
• Maintain session records using the Center’s student information system
• Complete daily documentation to help improve our services

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience:
• Strong academic writing background with demonstrated excellence in written communication; proficiency in MLA and/or APA style
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of student populations
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite, and Zoom
Preferred Experience:
• Previous experience in education, especially public post-secondary institutions
• Proficiency with Canva, Google Slides, and/or Prezi
• Experience with institutional student information systems
