Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversee enrollment and administrative processes for all Workforce Division programs, ensuring efficient student registration, compliance with institutional policies, and high-quality customer service
• Provide leadership and management for the design, implementation, and evaluation of workforce professional programs, including allied health, business and technology, notary, and other continuing education offerings across LDCC campuses and training sites.
• Manage program operations, including scheduling, facilities, instructional staff, and equipment needed for professional and continuing education programs.
• Conduct ongoing labor market analysis and facilitate employer engagement to guide program development and expansion.
• Ensure Data Integrity by maintaining accurate records of enrollment, program outcomes, and student databases to support compliance, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
• Serves as a liaison with local and regional business/industry partners, economic development organizations, and workforce boards to identify emerging training needs in professional sectors.
• Supervise and support staff, fostering a professional culture that emphasizes excellence, service, and student success.
• Collect, enter, and monitor IBC Data for the institution, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of industry-based credential attainment across all workforce and academic programs.
• Develop pathways from non-credit professional programs to credit-bearing credentials and degrees in alignment with LDCC and LCTCS policies.
• Build partnerships with industry leaders, workforce development boards, economic development agencies, and community organizations to strengthen program impact.
• Coordinate grant applications, reporting, and compliance activities in partnership with the grants and workforce teams.
• Identifies public and private funding opportunities to support workforce, economic and community education programs and to support scholarships for students.
• Serves as a college contact for IWTP grant providers, provides quotes for potential trainings, and meets with clients to discuss training needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the college’s workforce and economic development mission.
Required Education:
• Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of demonstrated leadership with related experience in education, government, business, or industry.
• Service-oriented, with a strong commitment to student success and equitable workforce development.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Data-driven decision-making with the ability to interpret labor market information.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the scope of the position.
• Excellent public relations, organizational skills, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong background in workforce development programs, curriculum development, and the design, delivery and evaluation of customized training solutions for business and industry.
• Previous experience in supervising staff.
Work Environment:
This position may require travel within the LDCC service area and occasional evening or weekend work to attend events or support programs.
